Treatment of Balance and Dizziness Conditions
Alison has been a Physiotherapist for almost 40 years, qualifying in Glasgow in 1985. Alison has extensive experience as a Musculoskeletal Physio, working in Scotland, England, and Canada.
It was when she was working at The Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow 20 years ago that she became very interested in Vestibular Physiotherapy and the treatment of balance and dizziness conditions.

Alison completed postgraduate training in Queens Square Hospital, London, and advanced vestibular physiotherapy training at Medway Hospital, Kent, as well as visiting many leading Balance centres around the UK.

Alison is passionate about Vestibular Physiotherapy and was the Scottish rep for ACPIVR (association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Vestibular Rehabilitation) for 8 years and remains an active member.
In 2010 Alison helped establish and set up The Vestibular Physiotherapy Service in Greater Glasgow NHS Trust.
Alison has been involved for many years in teaching and mentoring Scottish NHS colleagues in Vestibular Physiotherapy.

Alison has recently retired from her NHS job to concentrate on her work with Physiobalance.

Alison remains passionate about balance and dizziness conditions and strives to provide a holistic, customised treatment approach with all her patients.

Alison helps clients understand their balance and dizziness issues to build greater confidence and regain control in their everyday life and activities.

Alison works closely with, and takes referrals from ENT Consultants, Audiologists, GP’s, and Physiotherapists across the central belt and further afield.
